01.25.23 — Do Less (and enjoy it)

Quick PSA because it’s important:

The more you “hang on” to things that you “feel” you should do but do not love to do — the emptier you become.

I did not come back to consulting because I needed to or felt like I had to.

I’m approached by potential partners every week from socials, videos, etc

Agency space

Investing space

Roofing companies and solar companies

Random people and those I know very well

I own condos & houses and if I wanted to I could just go do that.

Here’s what happened:

Almost YEAR ago I was on a call with some people and we started talking business. It was the first live call I’d been on after a while of not doing any fulfillment or calls…

And it went for 2.5 hours.

Afterwards, I felt light. And energized.

I loved it. And the ppl on the call loved it too.

The feedback flooded in shortly after.

Folks made money blah blah blah.

And I called Gabrielle my chief of staff and said, “we should do this.”

She said “Done.”

And the Wealthy Consultant brand was born.

Since then I’ve made difficult decisions to prioritize margin and fulfillment over sheer revenue.

Ask my team and they’ll tell you.

We could have gone straight to 8 figures. But instead we prioritized 4 day work weeks. Mandatory 30 day sabbaticals. Walks in the afternoons…

Content.

Reading.

Playing with my kids.

And I built a model around it that supported it.

You will regret the things you did out of obligation.

There’s nothing that makes me feel less valuable than comparing value based on money. When I was running several 8 figures a year I felt less valuable than I do right now…

It ain’t about the revenue.

How is your soul?

Are you happy?

Is your team having fun?

Do your clients love their lives or are they all just chasing numbers?

Our clients today are successful because they love who they are and what they’re becoming.

Never again will I set the rating on my life by how big my businesses are.

I tried it.

Hated it. And hated myself in the process.

Give yourself the gift of being limitless — which will require you to ENJOY the daily profess of living and serving well.

Problems are inevitable.

If we didn’t have them we’d be dead.

But guys — enjoy the journey.
