From a book I’m reading now:
“All firms in an industry are competing, in a broad sense, with industries producing substitute products.”
In consulting, and in business, your core mission is simple:
Make all other options substitutes.
Do not disdain them or compete with them directly.
Compete to provide the absolute highest and best for your customers and clients.
If you go “all in” on your customers, your clients, and your team — you don’t need to worry about competition. Within time, everyone will know who the “substitutes” are when compared with the real thing ⚡️
