In this episode, Taylor tells us that if we don't do the difficult things it means the easy things become difficult. Do things that are difficult to slowly recondition your barometer on hard versus easy. The only way to make weight seem less heavy is to lift heavier things.

Happy Wednesday. Hope you're doing fantastic. What I've found is that there are things in life that are difficult and there are things in life that are not difficult.
It's like, okay, captain obvious, what's your point here? Just stick with me for a second and I'll tell you, I've noticed this through observation that as soon as I begin to feel like the easy things in my life are difficult to do, I am in trouble.
There's a spiral downward that is happening. And when I don't do the difficult things, then it means that the easy things become difficult.
And when the easy things become difficult, it is typically a indication that I am heading towards a dangerous sliding slope.
I am spiraling. Nobody ever wakes up and intends to become weak. I don't think that this is something that you consciously choose.
I don't think you're like, I'm gonna become weak today. You know what? Today is Wednesday sounds like an amazing day to just become a loser.
No, that's not how it happens. How it happens is you wake up a, you have predetermined, a rigorous set of rules and principles for your life and you wake up and because it's difficult, you choose one day not to adhere to your system.
You choose one day not to adhere to your principles. And this can be a big thing. It can be little thing, but most of the times you don't necessarily lose momentum cuz of the big things.
You lose momentum. Cuz as silly as it sounds, you were supposed to wake up at five 30 and you wake up at six 30.
You said you were gonna do a cold shower every day and you then you just decided not to. A friend of mine in California, we will we'll check in once a week or so and we'll make sure, we'll ask each other How many difficult things are you doing right now?
This is why programs like 75 hard and you know, this stuff, it works because the human brain is agile, it is plastic, it changes.
And as you do things that are difficult, you slowly recondition your barometer on hard versus easy. And if you can change the barometer or the, the rating system on what is hard versus what is easy, then you can make the difficult things easy and you can use that to do more and more difficult things.
You look at people like Elon Musk or you know, the, the entrepreneurs that that run society today, their lives are incredibly difficult.
They're extremely hard. Most civilians would not be able to keep up with the pace, would not be able to keep up with the level of rigor or discipline.
And the moral of today's lesson is To add things that change and redefine your definition of difficult. The only way to make things less difficult is to do more difficult things.
The only way to make the weight seem less heavy is to lift heavier things. Everything is relative. So you have the opportunity to control what you view or what you feel is difficult or easy.
So I'm about to go into the gym, about to do some difficult s**t. I'm gonna do a cold plunge after, because guess what?
It's freaking hard. That's why I'm doing it. The more things that I can do that are difficult, the less difficult building a business is going to be.
Adios, have a good day.
