What's up? Hope you are fantastic today. If you are in a period or a season where you do not feel like you are winning as quickly or largely as you want to, maybe you're coming out of a season of great momentum and you feel like you are potentially heading into a season of slowdown, or maybe you've been, quote unquote, stuck in a season of slowdown.

It's important. I've got a practical thought for you today that I feel will be timely. I was reading this morning before picking up coffee and heading into the office, that there's this phrase called a holy pause.

And if you've read the Bible or you've read spiritual texts, Selah is a term that is kind of put b after or behind certain things.

Where the author is saying, Selah, is like pause and wait and think about what you just read. But there's a, a macro sense of holy pause Selah, in life where you are kind of placed into a season where you are slowed down.

And a lot of times from a worldly or a surface level viewpoint, we view these seasons as failures. We view them as like, well, I'm not accomplishing what I want to accomplish.

I'm not moving towards my goals. And we view them from an exterior standpoint rather than going into the heart and the interior and the growth that happens in these holy pauses or these seasons where you are stuck.

The growth that happens is extraordinary is when the root system of your life begins to grow and flourish. But it's all beneath the soil.

It's not above the ground, it's not leaves growing on a tree. It's the stamina of the tree itself. And this morning I was reading about this because I have, I'm, I'm on the tail end of what I feel like is a holy pause season.

Like I'm on the back end of a season of like my momentum has not necessarily been what it has always been.

And I can feel, I can feel the momentum picking back up. And one of the things I was thinking about this morning is I don't wanna lose access to the lessons that I've learned in this holy pause moment, but I read something that was profound and it said, A holy pause can be defined as the dark fertile soil in between your goals, the dark, fertile soil in between your goals.

And this what struck me, because a lot of times I feel that you and I and the world at large really views the, the time in between our goals to be worthless and wasted and frustrating and difficult.

But the truth of the matter is, some of the most explosive growth moments you'll have in your life are only possible because of the dark, fertile soil that happened in between growth moment to growth moment.

Not every season in your life can be a above the ground growth season when you're racking up the bank account, when you are hiring staff, when you are setting records in how many people you're helping or you're setting records here, there or everywhere, not every season in your life can be go, go, go triple, triple, triple the healthy balanced life calls for and requires fertile grounds in between mountaintop moments.

And so I think a lot of people have felt like, like, I have felt like they're in this in between moment, like they're coming out of or into a slower pace.

And my challenge for you is this, to rewire and reframe the way you view this in-between moment, it is a growth opportunity.

The, the thing about in between moments is they're oftentimes not recognized by the outside. And so if you get your worth or your fulfillment or your identity by likes or accolades or attaboys or external accommodations where people are recognizing and and interacting, then you're gonna struggle in the in between moments.

But you've gotta learn how to grab your value and your fulfillment and how you feel about yourself in your season.

You've got to get that from the growth that only you can see. That's the beauty of these moments, is if you let it, it will begin to rewire and retune and retrain how you get your validity and your worth.

So from one person coming out of a sayk holy pause moment to you, maybe you're coming out of one or heading into one.

My instruction and my challenge is to prepare yourself for growth. But not all growth happens above the ground. The most special growth moments are gonna happen beneath the surface off of social media.

You by yourself learning and developing the requisite muscles to take the lessons you need to take regardless of when anybody else feels about them or about you.

Adios.
