In this episode, Taylor shares with us a lesson about self-belief. The more we struggle with our own self-belief, often times it doesn't mean we are talentless. It only means that we are more intellectually sound. No matter whether life is going for you or you feel like it's going against you, believing in yourself is a weapon that if you can deploy it properly and consistently, it will push you through the obstacles to the other side.

All right, so this is, if not the number one ingredient, it's up in the top five. I guarantee you, there's not a successful person that you have heard of or look up to, or have studied or have modeled that does not have an element of this ingredient.
And the key to this is the smarter you are <laugh>, this is gonna be weird. This is gonna be weird for you for a second.
The smarter you are, the, and when I, when I say smarter, I mean like higher actual IQ you have, like the more, the more you explore the world in and its intricacies and like your IQ is high, and then your curious, like the smarter you are, the more difficult this can be for you.
Here's the ingredient. I have noticed that every single successful person that I have either mentored or been mentored by or studied from afar or written in or, or studied written material or, or I have looked at their life in detail, they all have this.
And it's this level of obsessive self-belief like crazy sometimes don't make no sense self-belief. The first time I noticed this was John Rockefeller read a book called Titan.
And I just noticed it is, I was reading through this giant of a book about his life is this dude believed that he was destined to be wealthy.
And then you see it in all of the Robert Barons and in Carnegie, and you see it in Elon. You see it in all of the people who have been fanatically successful.
You know who else you see it in is the, the people leading the front lines in small business. And you see them in the, in the, the any space where there is a leader.
The leaders always deploy an obsessive crazy self-belief. I mean, they believe that they are called to it, and they in most cases, believe that they are able to do it better than anyone else is able to do it.
And I've found that this is sometimes harder for those who are very intellectual or you know, they have high levels of intelligence.
Because when you have a super high level of intelligence or your IQ is, you know, if your IQ is like me, it's just off the charts high, man.
It's just like, yo, get off of me. I'm sorry. I'm so smart. <laugh>, this is harder for you. Now, that doesn't mean that I don't have self-belief, but it does mean that from time to time I go through periods where I really doubt my own abilities.
Not because I do not have abilities, but because the, the intellectual curious side of me just wonders and uncovers and studies.
Do I have what it takes? Do I have what it takes? This is a lesson for you. I think the more you struggle with your own self-belief, it oftentimes doesn't mean that you're not talented.
It actually can mean that you're just a little bit more intellectually sound. You maybe have a, a higher iq. Maybe you're A just more intelligent, and I don't mean this to knock on anybody who is fanatically courageous in their self-belief, but I think that these two are inversely correlated.
And I think that no matter what, you have to figure out how to get yourself to believe in yourself even when all of the evidence points in the contrary.
There's another thing. Have you ever noticed how wildly fanatically confident people will be confident whether the data is in their favor or it is completely and staunchly against them?
The data, the circumstance is not the turning of the tables. The turning of the tables is the writer, the player.
It's you. No matter whether life is going for you or you feel like it's going against you, believing in yourself is a weapon that if you can deploy it properly and consistently will push you through the obstacles to the other side.
Let's crush it.
