In this episode, Taylor tells us that there is a gap between the decision that we make and the effects of that decisions. And the bigger the gap is, the more out of tune our momentum will become. Shorten the gap. Make the decision. Get your momentum back.

What is up? Good day. Hope you're well. Welcome to a Daily Mind Medicine. And in this episode, I'm gonna tell you a hack <laugh>.
That's funny. It's not necessarily a hack, but it's a hack for me. The last couple of months, I'll be honest with you I have just, things are working, like stuff is good.
There's nothing wrong per se, but I haven't felt in rhythm. You know what I'm saying? Like, when you are just in rhythm, you're like, yo, I could walk outside.
It's 10 degrees, but because I'm in rhythm, I just heat the freaking landscape up around me. Like there's power. You're like, you feel in momentum.
There's me. When you get to this place, it is, it is something special, and it's something to be cherished that everything you touch heats up and begins to shine.
But I haven't felt that way in the last couple of months. And you know what? That's normal to, to go through periods where you don't feel that way.
And what do you do? You do the work, you do it anyways. I don't feel good. Do it anyways. Don't feel like waking up.
Wake up anyways. Don't feel like going to the gym. That's the perfect time to go to the gym. You know when the best time is to do something is when you don't feel like doing it, because that's when the reps are actually meaningful.
They matter more when you don't feel like it any, anyways, it has nothing to do with today, but here's what I'm gonna tell you.
The last couple of weeks, I haven't felt like, like doing much. I just haven't felt motivated. This is weird for me to say, you're probably listening to this.
You're like, why am I listening to this dude for mindset when he is telling me he doesn't feel like doing something because I'm honest?
How about that for a change? How about you start listening and vetting the people that you let speak into your life for honesty and integrity.
I hate these scums who are just like, man, every day, blah, blah, blah. I'm ready to crush it. Sometimes I don't feel like crushing.
It really don't. Sometimes I don't. Sometimes I feel like sitting at home and doing nothing. And if you've ever felt like sitting at home and doing nothing, then you know that you you're a normal human.
Anyways, today my alarm went off at five 30 and I had to meet someone at the gym and I didn't have time to, to stay in bed.
And I immediately got up outta bed and it felt awful. It felt freaking like, I was like death itself. It was like, this is awful.
Got outta bed, brushed my teeth, put my workout clothes on, took my pre-workout, and about halfway to the gym, I realized something profound.
The last couple of months, I haven't had really any accountability in my mornings. Nobody to meet, been working out by myself, which is totally fine.
There's no, you don't have to work out with somebody else. You don't even have to work out in the mornings.
Listen to the point of what I'm saying. But today was different in that I had to get out of bed as soon as my alarm clock went off.
And I noticed something that the last couple of months I've let my nervous system get out of, out of tune, whereas I'm not, when I'm, I needed to train the mind to decide something and instantly the body obey.
And instead, what happened the last couple of months is my mind would decide something and then it would change its mind, and then my body would disobey, and then it'd change Its minds here and there and left and right and left and right.
And today I was kind of snapped back into a place. It was the last time that I felt like I was on top of the world was when I was in a series of aligned decisions.
The mind made a decision. The body immediately behaved. And I think that there's something to this. If you feel like you're out of momentum or you feel like you're kind of in a rut or something, sometimes the most powerful and profound thing you can do is to do it immediately.
Now immediately. Immediately. Do it now. Do it now. Do it now. No delay. Because delay tends to create procrastination. When you have a pattern of procrastination or a pattern of delay, somebody like some of you're like, man, I don't procrastinate.
I don't procrastinate, okay? How many times you hit the snooze before you wake up in the morning, that's a form of procrastination.
You're delaying. There is a gap between the decision and the effect of that decision. The, the bigger that gap is, the more out of tune you will become.
And so for me, it was a great learning lesson, but halfway to the gym was like, oh s**t, it's time for me to, to shorten the gap between the, the decision and the behavior, I gotta shorten the gap because the last couple of months, the reason that I have felt out of momentum and not motivated is not because there are not motivating things to do.
It is because I've allowed the gap to get a little bit too long. So we're in your world, can you shrink the gap?
Shorten the gap, make the decision. Go do it. Make the decision. Go do it. I'm telling you, it'll change your whole life.
Let's get your momentum back. Especially now. It's the best year of your life you're about to have. It doesn't always be the easiest.
It just means the best. This is the year to do it. Adios.
