Hey,
You might have noticed I’ve been emailing more.
If you’re a lightweight and can only handle one email every 9 days — consider two options:
Create a folder for these emails to go into… on the weekend or when you have some down time, go through them all in one go.
Unsubscribe… there are plenty of “content producers” out there. Not many have a track record that rivals mine, but if you’re a fan of 2nd place, unsubscribe and go elsewhere.
The reason I’m writing more is because I’m (a) writing a book, one of my my mentors challenged me to do it in April so I’m going for it; and (b) I’m building up more substance around my list instead of pubic-facing social content.
There is a reason for that, but I’ll share it later (no, I’m not disappearing from Twitter, or Facebook — just re-calibrating some extra content here for private subscribers).
Thinking VS Dreaming
This morning I woke up with 3 ideas that I immediately wrote down.
They are game-changing ideas if I can get them properly distributed to the team and implemented.
By game-changing, I’m talking at least 8 figures each. These are the ideas we all want more of
The quality and quantity of my ideas lately has been on the rise. And I think it’s because of my nightly routines…
I’ve “reset” back to an older routine / “shutdown” sequence that I used to use.
Here it is:
Each night before bed, I do the following:
Recap & recount what positive events happened that day
Describe how I would change the day if I was coaching someone else
List what I want to happen tomorrow & visualize it happening
Write down exactly what I want — in life, and the season I’m in — and give my brain things to SOLVE while asleep
A quote, from one of my favorite books:
Remember that your creative mechanism works best when there is not too much interference from your conscious “I.” In sleep, the creative mechanism has an ideal opportunity to work independently of conscious interference, if you have previously started the wheels turning. —Maxwell Maltz, Psycho-Cybernetics
This is something you should try…
Before bed, write down what you want to have (outcome, feeling, process, emotion, etc) and then let your subconscious go to work.
There’s nothing you can’t create or invent — it just takes focus and creativity.
Oh and also…
Don’t listen to anyone else telling you how it “should be.”
Only you can do that…
You need not justify what you want or why you want it to anyone.
If you can see it, go for it.
Onward,
-T
Unplug to recharge.
Shut down to refill.
It’s counter-intuitive.
But it works like a charm.
And it works all the time.
Empty yourself. Set an intention and release it. It’ll all come back and get renewed multi-fold.
Great food for thought before the long weekend. :)
Thanks for the motivation!
