This might feel atypical for me, but I think it's important so I will go with it.
Originally posted to my public Facebook page:
I heard God say "it does not matter."
"What doesn't matter?"
Months ago I had asked — "Why is this happening?"
Referring to a situation I did not cause, ask for, or deserve.
I had wanted to know why.
But I didn't get an answer to it then, when I asked.
He reminded me of the question... and the time, and the place. And said again, "it does not matter..."
But this time it continued:
"It does not matter. It is in your past, and it cannot harm you."
Over and over and over and over.
"It cannot harm you. It cannot harm you. It cannot harm you."
Then this verse came to mind:
You've gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. — Psalms 139:5
If you've wondered "why."
If you've asked "what if."
If you've entertained "how would it have been different."
It does not matter.
It is in your past and it cannot harm you.
The future canot be stopped unless you stop.
Beautiful! Love it. Thank you.
Thank you. I needed THIS, precisely.
